Someone hold me accountable!!

Ok. So we all know we are marching into the holidays which not only does it mean good cheer and family, but it means food lots and lots of food! Most of the time not the most healthy ones either. Halloween just ended and I don't know about you I raided my kids candy daily for "a sweet treat". At that rate its not a treat anymore its part of my diet! So I think it is time to get back on here daily so I can be held responsible what I put in my mouth. It is so weird what a week or two of horrible eating can do to your waistline! So who's in?? Who wants to be more cautious as we get into the merry of eating and not get carried away?

Look statistic says that most people gain weight during the holidays, so how about making the goal to maintain where your at? That will be a big accomplishment for most. IF you feel determined and feel like no excuse holiday or not, your going to lose weight then go for it!
I have realized I don't like the way I feel when I eat crap. I can feel and tell a difference. So I am ready to get back to what my body likes. I am not going to worry about losing so much as maintaining. Well maybe losing those 5 pounds I have put on! LOL

Ok so tomorrow(lol) I will start. I say tomorrow because sadly enough I have had 4 fun size snicker bars right before writing this!!!! hahahahahaha
I am probably going to have sugar withdrawals but, we all know if you don't give in it only last a few days.

So if your with me, let me know and we can hold each other accountable!

Happy Update!

I have made it!! I have reached 115!!! I cannot believe it! I really couldn't. I reached it on Tuesday after my 2 day cleanse I did. And I kept weighting myself every morning after that because I couldn't believe it, and every day it said the same number! I normal don't weigh myself, but once a week. I am extremely happy, and in awe that I actually made it. There was a part of me that doubted that I could ever be there again since I have had 3 kids. But, really I have to thank Isagenix, because then I know I would not be here yet or maybe not at all again! It has been a roller coaster ride on learning about myself, but it has been worth it. I feel like a whole new person! I have entered in the Isabody challenge and I actually think I have a good shot. I am going to be working on my essay this weekend, so I can turn it in next week. Wish me luck!

I've been MIA

So I have been MIA lately, but I have realized I have almost reached my destination, so my need to blog is not as great. I have learned soooo much about myself thru this journey and I don't think I would of, if it wasn't for this blog. I am grateful. I did awesome on my 2 day cleanse and was happy I did it. I had my tough moments, but for the most part it was pretty good. I plan to do another 2 days this coming week just to get ready for summer, so I will keep you posted.
I probably will lay off on the blogging everyday until I think I need to again. But, what I am going to do is start giving you all workout ideas that you can do from home, or gym, or whatever floats my boat! LOL. I think a lot of us get busy and we don't have time to get to the gym or have time just to workout, so I will be giving you ideas as well. So not only will I keep you posted things about me, I will give you exercise tips! Yippee! So stay tuned. It will be coming very soon. I am just trying to figure out if I would just post pics or video. So If you have any input, let me know as well. :)

Best way to cleanse

sleep:
8
water:
120
exercise:
15 min. of intense elliptical, 10 min of stairstepper, lifted triceps, biceps, lots of abs

Ok so I think I finally figured out what is the best way to cleanse. And I know it is really basic, and I think I knew this but didn't really acknowledged this: Stay busy. Yep that's it.
Today was easier then the past weeks, and its because I gave myself a project. I did Spring Cleaning. We've all done spring cleaning were you come up for air when you are hungry, but wish you weren't so you could keep going. Well, that is what I did, except I was conscious of my water, and I obviously had to take a lot of bathroom breaks.
So yes, I am going for it!!! Tomorrow will be another cleansing day! I can't wait to feel amazing on Wednesday and eat something so delicious as well! You already know I am one of those crazy cleansers that look thru cookbooks planning what I am going to eat the next month! LOL
So here I go, wish me luck!

Anything you set your mind to, you can achieve!

Happy Mother's Day

❀Happy Mother's Day!!❀
It is wonderful being a mother! It makes life more interesting and enjoyable. I am grateful everyday for the beautiful girls I have!

I know I havent been here in a week! It has been crazy! I decided to clean out my closet and get rid of some clothes. So I tried on some pants before kids and some of them were too big!!! I was amazed at the clothes that were fitting me! It was a happy day! It is working! It was a really makes it motivation to keep going!
It might just give me the motivation to actually do a 2 day cleanse! I have been really nervous to do one. I don't know why, I use to do those all the time! So I just go to mentally prepare myself.
Even though I have done really good and am motivated this weekend has been a little tougher. I noticed that when we get invited to too many things I have a hard time saying no, for some reason I think they will think I'm rude for not wanting to eat what they went out of their way to make or buy. So even though I tried to eat the smallest pieces I still felt a little icky. What a difference you can tell on your body when you dont eat crap!
Ok so here is my challenge this week~
I am going to do a 2 day cleanse!! AGH!!!!! Nervous! But, it is about time I do one! Eeek! Wish me luck!
It is a good week to do one, because this weekend was not the best weekend on eating, so it will get me back on track and some! Wish me luck!

I am not going to even write what I ate today, it wasnt good, so lets just forget about it and I will start a fresh tomorrow! :)

The moment of truth~

sleep:
8

water:
50 oz

So today is the moment of truth! Can I easily go back to how I was eating before my cheat day! What I have noticed in the past is when you go off and have sugar or too much yeast, one you feel bloated, two you get more cravings for those things again, so its almost hard to stop. I think what might help this cycle is actually taking cleansing drink the night of your cheat day, and then again the next morning and also flushing it with tons of water! SO today I am going to concentrate on drinking water, and see if that helps me....Ok so the water thing wasn't as much as I hoped but, dont feel like I ate horrible, so that is a plus! Tomorrow is my fabulous cleanse day! Wish me Luck.

Here is what I ate:
Breakfast: Shake
snack: 2 graham crackers
Lunch: shake
dinner: Papa Murphys chicken and artichoke thin crust , 2 bread sticks (i know what is me and the bread?!!!)
snack: creamie, watermelon

Saturday, May 1, 2010

cheat day is that only a day!

sleep:

water: 48 oz

no exercise! :(

Today was an Isagenix Training seminar basically all day, so I knew this was going to get tricky. Which it did. I made this my cheat day, because I knew I wouldnt be perfect. With that being said, it has to be my only cheat day, because sometimes what happens it runs into Sunday too! So I have to be really aware on what I put into my mouth tomorrow. I am really excited to cleanse on monday! I am getting so close to fitting into EVERYTHING again! Yippee!

here is what I ate:
breakfast: isagenix shake
snack: isagenix bar
lunch: olive garden: salad and breadsticks,1 lasagna noodle appetizer, Apricot chicken dinner- it would of been perfect minus the breadsticks
dinner: (hunter and I went on a date) Pizza factory- zucchini noodles with chicken, tons of salad, 2 crazy breadsticks(again the breadsticks!!! UGH.)

I actually cleansed on Monday and went down smaller! I can finally feel like its making a difference. My sister had her baby on Wednesday, too! She had a girl! She was 9 lbs. 8 oz and they named her Maya Eve. She has the same birthday as Caylee! The Morning After

sleep:
8 (loving it!)

water:
72 oz

exercise:
spinning

OH how refreshing it feels the morning after your cleanse! You feel so good, so light and skinny! Feeling like you are a little cleaner inside. happy face :D
It always makes me want to make healthy decisions for my food for the day. Today was pretty good. I also felt like my extra food cravings went away. I think when you eat all the wrong foods your body will crave more yucky food. And I am not just talking about candy and treats, I am also talking about simple carbs like white pasta, bread, potatoes. I'm not saying that you can never have these, but too much and your setting your self up for other cravings! That is what happened to me this past weekend, and that made my cleanse 10x harder! But, now I am happy! Hooray! I want to give a shout out to Lisa for rocking her first cleanse day yesterday! She is down 11 pounds in 7 days! Hooray! It is definitely a happy day!

Here is what I ate:
Breakfast: Isagenix shake
snack: 1 egg, 1 turkey bacon, 1 ff. slice of cheese, 2 stone corn tortillas- 200 cal.
Lunch: Isagenix shake
Dinner: 2 1/2 chicken enchiladas made with corn tortillas, guacamole with a few chips- approx. 500 cal
snack: yogurt creamie 105 cal

sleep:

water:
120 oz!

exercise:
elliptical 13 min, ran/hill walk for 14, lifted weights, abs

Yep, so its that time again for my cleanse! And I have to say it is a love/hate relationship! I always get excited to do it! I love the day after I've done it, but in the moment, AHHHHH sooooo hard! I really thought I was going to throw in the towel today! But, I didn't! I am really SHOCKED. Really! Sometimes you have to think what your ultimate goal is, why you are doing this, and remember all those times that you look at yourself in the mirror with disgust and want to break down and cry. Because that my friend will remind you TO KEEP GOING! It isn't that bad! I just love food, I guess its worst when I am cooking while I am cleansing! I made 3 meals for my sister to take and freeze, so when she has her baby, she won't have to worry about cooking.
Anywho! I am happy that I did it! Lisa, if your reading this I am Happy you made it too!!!!

Heres what I ate:
NOTHING!!! LOL

just kidding! I did have all my cleansing drinks
and 3 isadelights

I loved it! So I am going to continue going to bed early and maybe I will make it by 10:30! If you decided you want to give the challenge a try, don't give up quickly. The first few nights I laid there having a hard time going to bed, but It got better. I switched to drinking my Ionix at night since it helps you sleep. Today is tax day! Hopefully you got those done! We did it 2 days ago and it felt like a lot of stress got released from my shoulders! Ahhhh! So today was a very busy day. I had to teach, then I went grocery shopping, and then cleaning, and making invitations for Caylee's birthday, then Pampered Chef Party. I say all this because I just ate shakes until the party! Not the best I would have a shake when I started to feel so hungry, that it was almost starting to feel like I was sick. Not Good. So I ate too much at the party!!!! Well, to the gym I go tomorrow!

Here is what I ate:
Breakfast: Isagenix Shake
Lunch: Isagenix Shake

Loving the SLEEP!

sleep:

So I am loving the sleep I am getting, I haven't exactly gone to bed right at 10:30 but, it still is a step up! The first 2 nights I couldn't fall asleep, but I laid there anyways, my body is starting to get use to it! Yay, I love it.
So I feel like I am starting to sound boring. Like I just write about the same old same old. So I have had times where I think, why the heck am I still trying! And then I remember its for me, not them. So there you go. If anything just scroll down to what I ate for the day and yell at me.
Here is what I ate:
Breakfast: Isagenix Shake
Lunch: Isagenix shake

Tuesday, April 13, 2010

Like a swan in a pond

sleep:
8

water:
74 oz.

exercise:
spin, squats

Ah! I feel so good this morning! It has to be a combination of MORE sleep and the cleansing yesterday! So I have to confess, I had a shake yesterday! LOL. But, it is better than giving in to random food. I feel good. :) It's been a long time where I feel when I get up that I am ready to go!
Anyways, My next challenge is water. I have my good days and bad days. I need some right now. Hold on. Ok, so for me if I drank 80 oz or more I would be static! even though the recommended water intake is half your body weight in oz., since I workout, I feel like I need more, and it helps with the fake hunger feeling. Today I had a moment where I thought I should take a break from 2 shakes a day, then I went to the gym and 2 girls that hadn't seen me in 2 weeks said that I look a lot skinnier! Ok that is what I need.

Here is what I ate:
Breakfast: isagenix shake with Healthy greens
snack: 1/2 a Isagenix bar
Lunch: zucchini noodles with ground turkey and veggies spaghetti sauce, handful of tortilla chips
snack: zone bar ( which after I did, I didnt feel the best)
dinner: broccoli chicken and rice casserole (ok so I took one day off of 2 shakes)

Monday, April 12, 2010

Oh my gosh! Today's cleanse has been SO HARD!!! And I know why! Yesterdays brownies. Yep. It has made a BIG difference. The sugar that has to be released. It's like I am having withdraws, not that I am craving more brownies, it's just I am having the side effect of it. Headache, and hunger. I thought of throwing in the towel, but I know how good I will feel tomorrow. So hence here I am still doing it.

Sunday, April 11, 2010

exercise:
spin

Ok, so I am making myself a challenge for the week! I am going to make it a goal to go to bed by 10:30 pm EVERY NIGHT! Yep, that is not a typo. A part of the weight-loss equation is sleeping, and I haven't done very well in that department, so I need to do something to change it.
Things I noticed when I don't get enough sleep:
I am not very productive
I overeat
I under drink water
I am cranky
I play less with my kids
I don't workout as hard or I go late in the day!

This list right there, makes me realize that if I changed this one thing I would have a better fulfilling life. So there you have it.

Here is what I ate:
1/2 a shake before the gym
Shake after the gym
Homemade guacamole with tortilla chips
leftover of the veggie stuffed chicken probably about 4 oz.

So I just want to rave about how good our shakes are! There are millions of shakes out there, so I can see why it can be overwhelming to pick the right one. I know you will think I am bias, but honestly I have researched many, I mean my gosh, that is part of my job!! I have been a fitness instructor for 12 years! I have used quite a few in my day!
So here is some awesome things about their shakes:
✰ it contains IsaPro complex, which is the HIGHEST QUALITY whey and casein protein from New Zealand, whose standards exceed the USDA organic standards.
✰ very low in lactose which promote easier digestion ( i know first hands, since my whole family is lactose sensitive!)

✰they have added enzymes the body needs to break down carbs, protein, and fats for maximum absorption.

✰Helps you maintain lean body mass

✰18 different amino acids your body loves!

✰only 240 calories for the prefect meal, 6 grams of fat, and less then $2.75 per meal!

✰✰✰✰They are filling and taste AMAZING!!!✰✰✰✰✰✰✰✰

SO there you have it! Just starting on this shake alone you are going to feel a difference! Enough said!

Oh, here is what I ate:
Breakfast: Isagenix shake
snack: whole wheat english egg sandwich
Lunch:half of Isagenix shake
Snack: Isagenix bar
Dinner: chicken noodle casserole with veggies (made with brown rice noodles)

I am going to start another blog of recipes, which I have told a few people I would do, but it will be according to the 30 day cleansing program. So for example, After your first cleanse day you will have a certain menu you will follow, that is your jumpstart to more weight-loss. So the first week will be no white carbs, or processed foods. But the cool thing is that I will give you the recipe, plus do a little video on how to make the item. You will basically have the recipes to every day of the week. I have been researching a lot of different recipes to make sure I put together yummy, healthy, easy recipes. I am excited. Anyways so stay posted, because its going to happen soon! how I feel:
Tired and got a slight headache

water:

My Mantra:
I am releasing tons of toxins!

So this weekend's eating has me having a harder time today. I can totally feel it. I have a headache and feel tired. The good thing is that my body is releasing crap and it makes me feel a little bit better each time.
So tomorrow is the 3oth day! I am proud of myself because I actually kept up with this blog for the entire thing! Wow. I finish what I start! That is an accomplishment for me. This month I learned many things about how I react to food and I plan to make this following month even better, and trying to put into action different choices of my mistakes this month. Even though I was not perfect I still got results. That makes me happy. Tomorrow I will weigh myself and I am excited. the one thing I have noticed is that even though some weekends I would gain a little bit back, my inches stayed down. I love seeing me look smaller, regardless what the number on the scale says, because in the end that is what we want! Inches matter, so remember to measure yourself as well!!!!

I didn't pass up but I only had 2 and while eating the 2nd one I realize I didn't want it anymore! As well, for dinner, I usually pile on the rice and I really just took a tiny bit, and that was enough for me. I am so excited to see that my habits are changing! pretty good!

water:
TONS- 120 oz

exercise:
15 min. elliptical, 15 min running hills, 15 min indoor row machine, shoulders, back, abs

my mantra:
I am strong!

So today was my cleansing day! I was excited, but I have to admit I had to remind myself my "why"! there are moments that yes you question why the heck are you doing this, but once you remind yourself, it can help you keep going. SO make sure when you do this your "why" is big enough, to remind you for those hard moments not to give in! I worked out hard today, which technically they tell you to take it easier on your cleanse days, but I was on FIRE! I felt really good and really strong! Go me!
Everyone's experience when cleansing is different, some people get the urge to clean their fridge, or house. I look at cookbooks. I know you would think I like to torture myself. But, I can think clearer on what would be good for my body. I crave health stuff. Today I took it one step further, I totally made food. I made tonight's dinner for the family, tomorrows dinner is prepped and ready to go. And I made 4 other meals that I put in the freezer, for nights that I don't really feel like cooking. Yes, it smelled good, yes it was tempting, but I felt like I had to do it. Call me crazy.
I am glad the day is over, I am so excited for my yummy shake in the morning, and looking forward to our dinner tomorrow night! :)

Here's what I had:
cleansing drink
Tons of water
and 3 isadelights

Day 23

sleep:
6

how I felt:
kind of tired, but pretty good

water:
72 oz

exercise:
spinning and it was extra hard! My legs are burning!

my Mantra:
I finish what I start

So today I woke up feeling, that yes I can do this! Even though I had my ups and downs, I know that this is a process and I will get better and better. I am learning more and more what my body likes and doesn't like. It's all about listening to your body, and not ignoring the signals on what you should be putting in it. I have decided not to buy The Baked cheddar and sour cream chips anymore! I know this is huge for me, but I have realized I can't do well on the portions and I end up feeling gross every time. So even though I will go through withdrawals, I am going to do it. I am going to change a few things and see if it helps. I just have to think my reasons why and what I can achieve if I stick to this, when I want to quit. So I know my 30 days is almost up, but I am going to keep going! yep!

Here is what I ate:
Breakfast: Isagenix Shake
Lunch: arepas with bbq pulled chicken with avacado, and cabbage salad (i didn't over eat!, I had my friend stephanie over and thats what she wanted to try!)
dinner: Isagenix shake with berries
snack: yogurt creamie (only 105 cal! Give me a break!)

For your info, I will weigh myself thursday :) Eeek!

my mantra:
I make positive choices

Ok, so I started my day of cleanse by finishing the bottle of cleanse that was in the fridge, and then I left to the gym, when I got back I went to get a new bottle out of the storage room, and to my disbelief their was NONE left!!!!! Crap! Since both me and my hubby having been using it, we used them all up! I don't get anymore until wednesday or thursday. So I had to stop, obviously, so I had a shake. I don't know why I kept feeling guilty, but I did. I felt like I should be cleansing not eating!!! So I am bummed, but I will have to do one later.

Here is what I ate:
breakfast: 4 oz of cleanse drink
lunch: isagenix shake
dinner: chicken stirfry with Jasmine rice, a thick slice of fresh pineapple

I didn't eat a lot, because like I said I felt like I shouldn't of been eating! I think I will still weigh myself tomorrow, just so I can stay on track yet I am a little nervous, since I didn't cleanse today and I had a bad week last week! Ok, until tomorrow!

Day 21

hours of sleep:
7

how I felt:
Productive

how much water:
50 oz.

exercise:
none

my mantra:
Keep going

Today being Sunday, I get to reflect how the week went and how I can I make things different for the better. I am going to be honest....I suck at this! BUT, I am still having success! Ok, so I think that if I would do this to a T then I would be losing more weight then I have! I know, don't be hard on myself. But realizing that this week is technically the last week of the program, it makes me realize how many challenges I had along the way. I can't believe how fast its gone! So tomorrow is my cleansing day, and I know I will lose some weight, the problem is I know I didn't eat the best last week so I might of put on weight from it. I don't know and I'm not going to check. So hopefully I can get a little smaller. I decided I am going to keep going regardless.
I want to be ready for swimsuit season and my birthday!

Nothing feels better then how thin and fit feels!

Ok, so I know I say this every week, but this week is going to be even better! I am going to challenge myself to work a little harder to see if I can go out with a bang on this 30 day!

Here is what I ate:
Breakfast: Isagenix Shake
Snack: orange (and it was delicious!)
Lunch: Leftovers- Pulled chicken on corn tortillas
snack: baked sour cream and cheddar chips
Dinner: chicken noodle casserole
snack: yogurt creamie

Day 20

hours of sleep:
7

how I felt:
pretty good, still a little tired

water:
50 oz?not enough, thats for sure! I felt thirsty a lot today!

exercise:
spinning, squats

my mantra:
I can do anything

So today I felt a little bit better than yesterday. But, my day was pretty busy. I had to take Caylee to the gym with me, and then go home cook some chicken for my brother in law's birthday, and then head out the door to his party. I then ran and picked up my other girls and brought them back home.
I haven't mastered the art of saying no to people who go out of there way to prepare something for me. Even though I was full from their lunch, I didn't know how to say no on the cake. I didn't eat all of it, but the thing is I didn't even want it. Weird, huh? so I forced it down. Thinking the whole time "I wonder how many calories this has in it?, and How long will it take me to burn it off?" I am learning that I am a people pleaser, I don't really like to hurt people's feelings. So when I have to tell them something that potentially could hurt, I try my hardest to tell them in a kind way, but sometimes the kind way doesn't work. So sometimes instead of telling them, I just deal with it. But you say"Nathalie it's just food, its not like your telling them that they are a hippo and need to change their eating habits and exercise routine!" I know but for me anything I make for someone is special, so it would be heartbreaking to me if they didn't even take the time to even try it. So I guess I am going for how I would feel. Yeah, silly, I know.
Anyways, A new week is about to start, another chance to get better at this thing called my health! So that makes me excited! I feel like I might of taken two steps back, but I am going to not worry about that and just look forward. :)

Here's what I ate:
Breakfast: Isagenix Shake
Lunch: pulled bbq chicken in 3 arepas, carrot cake w/vanilla ice cream
snack: banana bread...nutella with crackers
dinner: shake
snack: quacker cheddar cheese rice cakes
